COMMERCIAL REMODEL
Description
One of our first projects was tenant improvement for Floyd's 99 in downtown Los Angeles, near 7th and Spring. Located in a 30-story building that housed other historic landmarks, execution was difficult for such a project. Below the raised slab, there was subterranean parking. This made the plumbing very tricky. Thus, careful coordination had to be done and we converted a double retail space to Floyd's 99 largest interior with huge sliding bi-fold partitions and vortex automated doors. Despite being a worn, old building, it was still possible to merge modern design into its historical context. This project thusably exemplifies our company's prowess in dealing with complex urban settings without interfering with historical landmarks.

When Floyd's 99 Barbershop approached us, it was an inside-out renovation: interior, roof, and exterior, with an epic exterior design remodel. We drew on the experience earned from our eight previous Floyd's 99 projects as we crafted the interiors to a tee. Coupled with a tight parking situation and in the midst of the city, we overcame all odds in delivering that smooth transformation.
In our project, we worked with the County of Los Angeles Public Works division to upgrade the underground link with the main sewer. A nice touch that really resonated with the public was our partnering with Floyd's 99, who commissioned well-known muralist Jonas Never. He painted a series of murals along the west façade that have become iconic in both the Hollywood and Silver Lake scenes.
