Landscape metamorphosis
A quarter-acre landscape requires planning and vision. This backyard radiates from a pool and entertainers centerpiece gazebo, and highlights a children’s playground on a DG base, native and low-water planting, dwarf citrus orchard, green screen, raised vegetable garden beds, permeable surfaces & a rain-water cistern for passive irrigation.
South Façade
Fine concrete finishing reveal cantilevered steps with concealed step lights, a radiused tree border and shaded poured-in-place bench.
North Façade
One challenge was to respect, yet bring to balance the existing asymmetric front elevation through a simple material palette, while the front porch & trellis connects the interior to the native front yard.
